Mens Shed

Tenterfield men’s shed is a community-based, non-profit, non-commercial organisation that is accessible to all members and whose primary activity is the provision of a safe, friendly and welcoming environment where members are able to work on meaningful projects at their own pace in their own time in the company of others. A major objective is to advance the health and well being of their members and to encourage social inclusion.

Your local Mens Shed ! ! !

Tenterfield Men's Shed provides a safe and happy environment where men are welcome to work a project of their choice in their own time and where the only 'must' is to observe safe working practices.

Aim 7

Focus on men's health and wellbeing, encouraging and assisting users to gain access to relevant services and information available to them within the community

Aim 8

Address the issues of isolation, loneliness and depression which are faced by many men when they cease full-time employment or are looking for work by providing them with a space, tools and support

Aim 9

Provide a place for men to socialise, use their skills (such as woodwork), learn new skills and mentor each other and younger members of the community

Aim 4

Assist men of all ages and background though mateship, mentoring and support

Provide intergenerational learning and mentoring

Gain the help of health and wellbeing professionals when required

I enjoy the camaraderie of the Mens Shed, woodworking projects, as well as solving local and world issues over a cuppa. I also enjoy in getting involved in community projects.

Our mens shed is one of the few that warmly welcomes women members.As a small rural community,with its share of challenges, there are many women attempting to maintain homes, rural properties and businesses.
